One Injured After Shooting in Pioneer Square

Detectives are investigating a shooting that left a 21-year-old man injured in Pioneer Square.
Early Sunday morning around 1:34 a.m., multiple 911 callers reported gunshots in the area of 1st Avenue and South King St. Officers went to the scene and found over 30 shell casings of various calibers, as well as a gun that appeared to have been dropped by someone as they ran from the area.
Security nearby said that a fight had spilled out from a bar and into the street, when several people got into a shootout. However, detectives are still investigating the circumstances that led to the shooting.
No suspects or victims remained on scene, but a short time later, a victim with a gunshot wound to the back came into Harborview Medical Center. Several vehicles were hit by gunfire, as well as a business window.
Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit will be conducting the follow-up investigation.
